From generation to generation

As Presbyterians, we are bound together. We are not bound together by culture, but rather by the grace of Jesus and through the love of God and neighbor. As a people with a deep connection, we respond in gratitude to the Spirit, which empowers us to share the love of Christ, working with one another for justice, peace, and freedom. As we practice our own expressions of that gratitude through giving of ourselves and resources, we are not only directing our own energy in a way that glorifies God, but we are also influencing the little ones whose eyes and ears catch what we do and say. They learn from us how to become grateful and generous people.

Stewardship Kaleidoscope: summaries of sessions

Our Ministry Relations Officers and other Foundation staff led sessions on a variety of topics, all related to stewardship, generosity and giving. We wrote stories about many of these sessions to help those who weren’t able to attend get caught up on all of the content.

This month in Stewardship: October

For many congregations, October is when Stewardship takes a more prominent role. Your congregation knows that pledge Sunday is coming. The primary task of stewardship leaders in the congregations, including pastors, is to answer, “Why does giving and generosity to the church matter?” This is a theological question grounded in the ministry and mission of your congregation locally, regionally, and globally.
