What is the relationship between the Presbyterian Foundation, New Covenant Trust Company, and New Covenant Funds?

The Presbyterian Foundation is the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.)’s national entity specifically called to offer charitable expertise and services that unite and empower Presbyterians and the ministries about which they are passionate. The Foundation is committed to strengthening congregations, mid councils, and other Presbyterian-related entities by developing gifts and managing funds on their behalf.

The New Covenant Trust Company, N.A. (NCTC) is wholly owned by the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) Foundation and is chartered and regulated by the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency. Guided by Presbyterian values, NCTC and its team of financial specialists serve both the church and individuals to devise smart financial solutions to protect assets, provide for loved ones and support the charitable causes important to you. NCTC also serves clients from other denominational backgrounds.

New Covenant Funds (NCF) is a family of faith-based mutual funds sponsored by the Foundation which are invested in accordance with the social witness principles of the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.). SEI Investment Management Company (SIMC) is the investment advisor to New Covenant Funds. The Presbyterian Foundation is an investor in NCF. The Foundation’s subsidiary, New Covenant Trust Company, provides shareholder services to and consults with SIMC on the social witness principles of the church. New Covenant Funds are offered through Quasar Distributors, LLC.

How can I apply for grants or loans with the Presbyterian Foundation?

The Presbyterian Foundation is not a grant-making foundation. The Foundation cultivates, attracts and manages the financial resources of individuals and institutions that give to specific ministries to further Christ’s mission. The Presbyterian Foundation’s Project Regeneration program works with congregations and related ministries struggling to find their way during a financial or cultural shift and helps them address the stewardship of economic and property resources. Our team of financial experts, who are also pastors, elders and active members of the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.), can help you explore creative options and consider new opportunities for your ministry.

The Presbyterian Foundation offers a collection of resources to help you shape a generosity program, with tools to strengthen the annual stewardship campaign, build a capital campaign or smaller gift project, as well as tools to create a wills and legacy giving program. The Foundation’s Church Financial Literacy and Leadership program provides pastors and church leaders with resources, tools, and other support to help address the financial and leadership challenges of congregational ministry and mission. The Foundation’s Ministry Relations Program offers services to help pastors and church leaders cultivate funds needed for mission and ministry. Our Ministry Relations Officers (MRO) are experienced fundraisers who can help you cultivate generosity and promote stewardship.
