Blessing and Benediction from Rev. Adriene Thorne
by Rev. Adriene Thorne
Sometimes, even our own hearts are waiting for us. Waiting for us to remember who we are—beloved, radiant, created to shine. Waiting for us to notice the dull places, the tired corners, the parts of us that have forgotten their light. Our spirits are longing for us to return to ourselves, to rediscover the shimmer God placed within us at the beginning of creation. Waiting for us to reveal God’s glory in the light that flickers inside us still.
Radiant God, you created us to shine with your light—brilliant, beloved, and full of wonder. Yet some days our sparkle dims, and we feel worn, weighed down, tender from the burdens we carry and the ache of a world that keeps breaking and hoping all at once. Still, we come to you.
We are here—open, listening. Call our names again with a gentleness that never fails to reach us. Breathe your life into every weary corner and rekindle the glow we feel we have lost. Help us know you rising clearer than the clamor around us. Through Jesus Christ, the Light of the World. Amen.
