As Vice President of Philanthropic Solutions, Karl leads efforts to strengthen congregations’ stewardship of resources by learning from ministries that are thriving, identifying common challenges, and developing innovative resources that help churches, donors, and ministries steward their resources with greater impact and effectiveness. Prior to this role, he served as Vice President of Planned Giving, a role he held since 2010.

Previously, Karl served as Executive Director of the Presbyterian Endowment Education Resources Network (PEER), helping churches strengthen endowment practices. Before that, he was the Presbyterian Foundation’s Washington, D.C., representative, supporting churches and ministries in planned giving, endowment development, and stewardship.

Karl has been an active member of Georgetown Presbyterian Church in Washington, D.C., since 1998. He is married and has two daughters.
