Rev. Dr. Lindsay P. Armstrong

Atlanta, Georgia

The Rev. Dr. Lindsay P. Armstrong is Executive Director and CEO of the New Church Development Commission (NCDC), the Presbytery of Greater Atlanta’s start-up studio for new worshiping communities. Since assuming leadership of NCDC in 2014, she has helped catalyze more than 70 new worshiping communities and developed an ecosystem of coaching, training, strategic grants, infrastructure support, and partnerships to help emerging leaders and communities thrive.

Ordained as a Minister of Word and Sacrament in the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.), Lindsay has served four Presbyterian congregations and brings 25+ years of experience in congregational ministry, nonprofit leadership, organizational development, fundraising, and church innovation. Her work is especially focused on cultivating leaders, strengthening organizations, and amplifying voices that have too often gone unheard.

Lindsay holds a Bachelor of Arts from Colorado College, a Master of Divinity from Princeton Theological Seminary, a Doctor of Ministry from Columbia Theological Seminary, and the Executive Certificate in Religious Fundraising from the Lake Institute on Faith & Giving.

She lives in Atlanta, Georgia, with her husband, The Rev. Dr. Mark Douglas where they both enjoy hiking, biking, kayaking, traveling, making wine, and cheering on Atlanta United.
