Listen! Do not be afraid when God calls you to do God’s work. It is easy to run away, be anxious, and experience a lack of self-esteem. Be assured that God knew you before you were born. God will give you the words to say in good and difficult times, provide encouragement, and will always be with you. God has chosen you to do a great work!

Rev. Dr. Byron Wade is General Presbyter for the Presbytery of Western North Carolina. He served as vice moderator of the 218th General Assembly. He received his undergraduate degree at the University of the Redlands in California and holds an M.A. from the Presbyterian School of Christian Education (now Union Presbyterian Seminary), an M.Div. from Johnson C. Smith Theological Seminary, and a D.Min. from McCormick Theological Seminary.
