We are invited to drop our nets and to follow Jesus. That can seem daunting. But what if we realize that nets are full of holes and are often in need of cleaning and repair? What if we really stopped worrying about all those things in life that we can’t fix, that we can’t make spotless, and that we can’t mend? And maybe we just drop them, and let them go, because in our dropping and in our letting go, we might better know the blessing of the One who fixes, cleanses, and makes all things new.
