As we make our way from day to day

Journeying through this cumbersome land

We stretch to find our caring souls

That answer life’s demands

 

We know not what tomorrow holds

But we know there is work to do

For God has entrusted this earth to us

With the light of love, mercy’s hue.

 

We struggle forward seeking solace

In a deeply troubled time

The “isms” continue as a mighty plague

That serve to confound the mind.

 

But as we rise to meet the challenge

May our faith and courage calm our sway

May the love of God, the sacrifice of Jesus

and the presence of the Holy Spirit be our way.
