Kevin Garvey
Franklin, TN
In 2008 Kevin joined the Board of Pensions of the Presbyterian Church as Chief Development Officer, bringing 30 years of experience in both the not-for-profit and funds development fields. In 2012, he was also given the responsibility as Chief Ministry Relations Officer with the Presbyterian Foundation, serving both agencies.
He has previously served as Director of Annual Giving, Clarkson University; Director of Development, Carnegie Mellon University; Vice President of Development and Institutional Relations, Westminster College; Vice President of Advancement, West Chester University; and Vice President of Advancement, Savannah College of Art and Design. Kevin also served as Vice President of Development and Marketing for the Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra, one of 17 full-time orchestras in the United States.
As ruling elder he served at Beulah Presbyterian Church, Pittsburgh and Zionsville Presbyterian Church, Indianapolis. He also has worked with the national offices of the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) and has consulted with several congregations regarding church fundraising.
Kevin, who holds a B.A. in religion and history from Westminster College, has served on many boards and as National President of Alpha Sigma Phi Fraternity and Foundation. Kevin and his wife Jody live in Nashville, Tennessee. They have two grown sons, Matthew and David.
