Blessing and Benediction from Rev. Dr. Lee Hinson-Hasty

by Rev. Dr. Lee Hinson-Hasty

The God who promises to love us, never leave us, and live in us also calls us as we are in the present moment – from our comfort, despair, weariness, excitement, sadness, joy, hope, or brokenness – to shout and believe that “Christ is Risen” so that our attention will be drawn to other places and people in need of new life or new beginnings. This Eastertide, know you are not alone, but a member of the risen body of Christ.  Do not be afraid, but have faith in yourself, the entire community of followers and God who will go with us like a refreshing breeze sweeping in almost unnoticed to push us forward or a gentle rain reminding us of our baptism … you and all are named and known and beloved to God.
