Fund Restriction
I give to my executors the sum of twenty-five thousand dollars, to be held by them in trust, to receive the rents and profits of the same, during the lifetime of my wife and grandson, Edwin D. Morgan, Junior, and to pay over the net income of the same to such missionaries employed by the said Board of Domestic Mission of the Presbyterian Church [per Articled 25 of Codicil, Mr. Morgan directed the named entity be corrected to the Board of Home Missions of the Presbyterian Church in the United States] last named as my wife shall designated, and after her death, to such as my grandson during his life shall designate, and from and after the death of my wife or grandson, whichever shall longest live, then I direct my executors to pay said sum of twenty-five thousand dollars to the said Board of Domestic Missions of the Presbyterian Church to be by them held as a fund, the income of which I desire to be applied to the increase of the salaries of such of the missionaries employed by said board as shall annually be designated by the pastors of, for the time being, or a majority of them, or the pastors that may, for the time being, be settled over the Brick Presbyterian Church, of which Reverend L. D. Bevan, D.D., is now the pastor; of the Madison Square Presbyterian Church, of which Rev. Mr. Parkhurst is now the pastor, and of the University Place Presbyterian Church, of which Rev. Dr. Booth is now the pastor, all in the City of New York. In case my said wife or grandson, or the said pastors should fail to make any such designation or missionaries, then I direct said income to be distributed among such missionaries as the Trustees of said Board of Domestic Missions shall designate.
