Rev. Andy Casto-Waters has served as an Associate Pastor, Campus Minister, and most recently as a Transitional Minister for congregations in Florida, South Carolina and soon Alabama. Andy enjoys helping congregations explore who God is calling them to be at this particular time. He has helped implement new stewardship strategies in multiple congregations, often resulting in an increase in energy and capital.
Andy holds degrees from Wofford College, Columbia Theological Seminary, and Union Presbyterian Seminary. His ongoing training in conflict management and Bowen Family Systems Theory support congregations seeking to better understand the needs of communities in flux and how leaders function in those settings. His training includes both weeks of intentional interim ministry training at Montreat, NC, with the Center for Congregational Health, and with the Interim Ministry Network; Interim Executive Training; multiple events with the Lombard Mennonite Peace Center; Healthy Congregations Facilitator Training; and continuous study of Bowen Family Systems Theory at Columbia Theological Seminary. Additionally, he has completed 70 hours of training with The Coaching Institute at Columbia Seminary, working on his Associate Certification through the International Coaching Federation. He currently serves as the General Presbyter for Cherokee Presbytery in Northwest Georgia, supporting 29 congregations of all sizes to pursue faithful mission and ministry.
