On this third Sunday in Advent, rejoice!  Rejoice, not because all is as it should be in the world. Things have not yet been made right.  Rejoice, not because you are happy.  For we have ample reason to be sad.  Rejoice, not because you have presents under the tree. Too many people have too little.  Instead Rejoice, because the one born in a manger will grow up and call you blessed when you mourn and he will make all things right.  Rejoice because in Advent we cry out that God comes in the most unexpected ways.  Rejoice, for unto us is born a son, a savior!
