“{When asked} are you worried about the church, my answer is no, because we are not ‘our’ church – we are the church of Jesus Christ. And we will be the church of Jesus Christ as long as the God of the universe, as long as the Holy Spirit, as long as she decides that we are going to be the church. So no, I’m not worried about us. There are times when I’m anxious, but I’m not worried because we are the church of Jesus Christ and we will be that as long as God decides that we will be. And as long as God decides that we will be the church, God will not abandon us. This God will sustain us as God has done through these nearly 2,000 years and I trust until Christ comes again.”
