Blessing and Benediction from Rev. Dr. Andy Kort
by Rev. Dr. Andy Kort

As you walk through the dark valley, you may experience fear because even on Easter morning, the women were seized with terror.
As you walk through the dark valley, you may experience fear because even after the resurrection, the disciples were afraid.
As you walk through the dark valley, you may experience fear because even when in the presence of the divine, so many of our spiritual ancestors were scared.
As you walk through the dark valley, you may experience fear, because fear is a very real human experience. And there is much darkness.
But as you walk through the dark valley, remember that you have a good shepherd walking with you. And this shepherd has a rod and a staff to protect and comfort you. As you walk through the dark valley, you are not walking alone. The One who is goodness and mercy walks with you all the days of your life. This shepherd is a light that shines in the darkness.
So, as you walk through the dark valley, may you always know this. And may the joy and peace of your soul be restored.
Amen.
