Rev. CeCe Armstrong
Rev. Cecelia “CeCe” Armstrong currently serves as the Co-Moderator of the 226th General Assembly of the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) She was elected in July 2024. She is currently serving St. James Presbyterian Church in Charleston, South Carolina as Associate Pastor.
Cecelia is the youngest of five children born and raised in Detroit. She was confirmed at Calvary Presbyterian Church in Detroit and has held membership at New Life Presbyterian Church in College Park, Georgia, and Belle-Terrace Presbyterian Church in Augusta, Georgia.
She received her Bachelor of Science in Mathematics at Spelman College in Atlanta and her Master of Arts in Education for Curriculum and Instruction with emphasis on Secondary Mathematics at the University of Southern Mississippi in Hattiesburg. Cecelia went on to receive her Master of Divinity at Johnson C. Smith Theological Seminary at the Interdenominational Theological Center (ITC) in Atlanta. She was ordained as a deacon and elder at Belle-Terrace and a minister of the Word and Sacraments.
Since that time, Cecelia has served in a number of church leadership positions across Georgia, Florida, and South Carolina and the Synod of South Atlantic. In addition, she has participated in various committees and commissions on ministry, served as co-moderator of the National Association of Presbyterian Clergywomen.
She has been a contributing writer for Presbyterians Today magazine, as well as the Presbyterian Outlook and more.
Rev. Joe Chu
Rev. Joe Chu is an ordained Presbyterian minister. He has an extensive record of service in the Presbyterian Church (USA).
He currently serves as Stated Clerk for the Eastern Korean American Presbytery, Vice Moderator of the Permanent Judicial Commission of the Synod of the Northeast, board member of Johnsonburg Camp and Retreat Center, and member of the Synod of the Northeast Discernment Team. He also previously served as a member of the Committee on the Office of the General Assembly.
In addition to serving in the PC(USA), Joe has extensive experience in Elder Care. In March 2018 he started his business (Assisted Living Locators of Bergen County, NJ). He specializes in helping people find the right care facility for older family members. His YouTube Channel (Assisted Living Answer Man) provides education on Assisted Living and the larger world of Senior Care. He also serves as a pastor.
Joe serves as lead pastor of Fellowship Church of New Milford, New Jersey. Joe received a Bachelor of Arts degree in History from Northwestern University, and Master of Divinity degree from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School.
Fern Cloud
Fern Cloud is pastor of Pejuhutazizi Presbyterian Church in the Upper Sioux Community, Granite Falls, Minnesota. She has served as one of the Presbyterian Foundation’s Ministers of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion since 2023.
She was born in Sisseton, SD, on the Lake Traverse Reservation located in northeastern South Dakota. She is a citizen of the Sisseton/Wahpeton Dakota Oyate.
Fern has spent most of her life in lay ministry. She was called to her current position in 2004 and continues to bring the Gospel message in Native context.
Fern has served at all levels of the Presbyterian Church (USA), including the Dakota Presbytery/Pine Ridge Reconciliation Center Partnership, Dakota Presbytery Stated Clerk and Presbyterian Disaster Assistance Advisory Committee. Ecumenically, she serves with organizations including the Minnesota Council of Churches, Eloheh/Eagle’s Wings and North American Indigenous Institute for Theological Studies Elder Circle.
An artist and cultural consultant, Fern conducts presentations and workshops on issues including missing and murdered indigenous women, government policies affecting Native Americans and the legacy of U.S.-sanctioned boarding schools designed to extinguish Native culture. She is active in environmental justice and has participated in on-the-ground support at Standing Rock and other sites, and nonviolent direct action against the Dakota Access Pipeline.
Fern holds an associate’s degree in pastoral ministry from Trinity Bible College and has four children, 10 grandchildren and a great-granddaughter.
Rev. Jeniffer Rodríguez Michel
Rev. Jeniffer Rodríguez Michel is pastor at the First Presbyterian Church of Ossining, NY. Jeniffer and her husband, Kyle Craig, are the parents of Emma Sophia and Eric Gabriel. She is originally from the Dominican Republic.
Rev. Rodríguez Michel had a career in communications prior to heeding the call to go into ministry. She is earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in communications from UNAPEC, a university in the Dominican Republic. After moving to the United States, she pursued her Master of Divinity at McCormick Theological Seminary in Chicago.
Rev. Rodríguez Michel likes to do creative things with art, both for worship and personally. She is a chaplain of the New York City-based Ecumenical Choir Cántico Nuevo (New Song) and is involved in social justice issues.
