Warren Lesane, Jr

Warren J. Lesane, Jr., is Synod Executive and Stated Clerk of the Synod of the Mid-Atlantic. He is a native of Mayesville, S.C. and a product of Goodwill Presbyterian Church (USA). Warren attended Johnson C. Smith University, the Interdenominational Theological Center, and McCormick Theological Seminary. Further studies were done at Miami University’s Summer Public Policy Institute and at the University of British Columbia’s Summer Interfaith Institute.

Warren served 28 years in the United States Air Force Reserves as a chaplain, retiring at the rank of Lieutenant Colonel in 2010. He has served the church as an organizing pastor, university chaplain, assistant professor of religion and presbytery associate executive. He is a member of the Governor’s Council to Bridge the Nutritional Divide in Richmond, Va., Catawba Economic Development Corp., Goodwill Educational Historical Society, Sharon Manor Board of Trustees and Massanetta Springs Conference and Camps Center.

In January 2020, Warren traveled with World Mission staff to Chiang Mai, Thailand, to serve as chaplain, counselor, worship leader and preacher during the Asia Pacific Regional Gathering of PC(USA) Mission Co-Workers.
