Rev. Dr. Larceeda British Hyrams hails from Chicago, IL and has lived in the Carolinas since 2008. British earned degrees from Purdue University (B.S. Industrial Engineering), Union Presbyterian (M. Div and M.A.C.E.), and Duke Divinity School (DMin).

British currently serves as the Associate Chaplain at Presbyterian College in Clinton, SC. She previously served in campus ministry (Durham, NC) and as associate pastor in two Charlotte area churches. British’s prior work experience also includes project management and supervisory roles in healthcare information technology and teaching as an adjunct math professor.

British is currently on the Board of Trustees of Union Presbyterian Seminary and a board member of the Presbyterian College Chaplains Association. Her current community involvement includes active membership with the Union County (NC) Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.

British is married to her college sweetheart Kevin, together they love, support, and encourage three adult children.
