Vice President, Planned Giving Resources
In January of 2015, Karl Mattison re-joined the Presbyterian Foundation as the Vice President of Planned Giving Resources and of the Planned Giving Navigator Program. Prior to that, Karl served as the first executive Director for the Presbyterian Endowment Education Resources Network since 2010. For the previous 4 years, Karl was the Washington, DC representative for the Presbyterian Foundation, assisting Presbyterian churches and affiliated charitable organizations by developing planned gifts, establishing endowments and managing their investments.
Previously Karl spent 8 years at Riggs Bank, Washington, DC. During his time at Riggs, Karl served for two years as Special Assistant to the Chairman and subsequently as the Vice President and Manager of the Eurasian Department, managing the commercial and personal accounts of over 55 embassies and their diplomats.
Prior to his career in banking, Karl studied, taught and volunteered extensively in the former Soviet Union. A graduate of Davidson College, Karl also studied abroad at Moscow Aviation Institute and did his graduate coursework in Russian studies at Georgetown University.
Karl and his wife Ashley have two daughters, Lauren (’02) and Charlotte (’06).
