Rev. Gail Monsma is the Interim Head of Staff First Presbyterian Church, Mt. Clemens, MI. Since starting at the church in October 2018, she has reorganized the financial committees as a first step in implementing ways to help the church thrive.

Previously, Monsma served at First Presbyterian Church, Marshall, MI. During her time there, she helped the church better manage their finances, all while helping increase pledges by 20% in her first year with the church. She also began mission initiatives within the community for refugees and immigrants. Monsma was also involved with the Presbyterian Center for Children, helping to gain donations as well as creating a language acquisition program for the 80 children involved.

Having received a bachelor’s degree in Business/Organizational Leadership from Calvin College in Grand Rapids, she went on to earn a Master of Divinity from Louisville Presbyterian Theological Seminary.
