Supporting Ministries for Generations to Come
Endowment funds can preserve your passion for mission and create a lasting legacy. The Presbyterian Foundation’s endowment funds have stood the test of time to provide funds for mission in perpetuity. The Foundation offers tools and resources like the Planned Giving Leadership Guide and the Legacy Society Report to assist with attracting endowment gifts and creating a legacy society to recognize donors. If your committee has been challenged to create and manage an endowment fund, the Foundation can help. Read more.
Growing Generosity Through Generations
Focusing on I Timothy 6:18-19 and the annual stewardship emphasis, the Giving: Growing Joyful Stewards in Your Congregation magazine offers insight on using what God has given us to become more generous. Congregations will find ideas to help them engage individuals and families from all generations, including children, millennials (defined as those born between 1980 and 2000), and generation Z (also know as post-millennials), and nurture their generosity. It's Not Your Fault
Jim Kitchens, Center for Healthy Churches, says churches should not feel ashamed when the culture in which they know how to “be” church is gone. The Presbyterian Foundation partners with congregations and presbyteries to explore creative options to help them figure out how to be the church for the new culture in which they find themselves.
