La gente \u201cve un vac\u00edo y una oportunidad, y piensa: \u2018\u00bfPodr\u00eda ser esto algo en lo que yo pudiera participar?\u2019, pero se ve limitada por razones geogr\u00e1ficas, econ\u00f3micas o de tiempo \u2014aunque est\u00e1 ansiosa por servir\u201d, explic\u00f3 Latham. \u201cNo necesariamente nos hemos puesto al d\u00eda en capacitar a las personas donde est\u00e1n para el ministerio que podr\u00edan estar realizando en este momento\u201d.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cMe encuentro con pastores que me dicen: \u2018El seminario no me prepar\u00f3 para esto\u2019\u201d, coment\u00f3 McCaw. Ella les responde: \u201c\u00a1Buenas noticias! Ya no ense\u00f1amos de la misma manera que cuando ustedes asistieron al seminario hace 30 a\u00f1os. Esto representa \u201cuna gran esperanza de una mejor eclesiolog\u00eda y de devolver el ministerio a todo el pueblo de Dios\u201d.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Davis se pregunt\u00f3: \u00bfQu\u00e9 es lo esencial hoy en d\u00eda para el l\u00edder de una iglesia peque\u00f1a?<\/p>\n<p>McCaw se\u00f1al\u00f3 que la necesidad de ser \u00e1gil y receptivo queda claramente reflejada en\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/pcusa.org\/news-storytelling\/news\/2023\/3\/22\/presbyterians-today-looks-living-out-great-ends-church\" data-once=\"externalLinks\">Los grandes fines de la Iglesia<\/a>. \u201cHay algo muy arraigado en la fe, pero tambi\u00e9n trascendente y flexible en las formas en que podemos expresarla\u201d, dijo. \u201cSi logramos formar a nuestros alumnos de tal manera que aprecien el don de los evangelios y de esta tradici\u00f3n \u2014pero que tambi\u00e9n sientan mucha libertad y hayan desarrollado una memoria muscular para asimilar e interpretar eso en el contexto de la Iglesia de hoy\u2014, eso nos servir\u00e1 a largo plazo y en m\u00faltiples contextos\u201d.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cEs un momento divertido y emocionante para dedicarse al ministerio congregacional, aunque tambi\u00e9n da un poco de miedo, porque llevamos mucho tiempo proclamando que creemos en el sacerdocio universal y ahora ha llegado el momento de ponerlo en pr\u00e1ctica\u201d, dijo Latham. \u201cNecesitamos un laicado bien preparado. Necesitamos todos los dones de todas las personas que forman parte de nuestras congregaciones\u201d.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>OPSF se ha lanzado recientemente en l\u00ednea\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/omahapresbyterianseminaryfoundation.org\/get-support\/certificate-in-proclamation\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" data-once=\"externalLinks\">Certificado en Proclamaci\u00f3n<\/a> formaci\u00f3n destinada a capacitar a las personas para que utilicen las Escrituras en la adoraci\u00f3n y para que profundicen en la homil\u00e9tica y la teolog\u00eda reformada. \u201cTenemos que hacer esto en el contexto de personas que ya est\u00e1n en el ministerio\u201d, dijo Latham, \u201cy que est\u00e1n descubriendo el ministerio a medida que aprenden\u201d.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cPreparar a nuestros l\u00edderes para su propio camino interior mediante la direcci\u00f3n espiritual y los grupos de aprendizaje entre pares en la comunidad, y arraigar a las personas en comunidades de apoyo\u201d puede que no suene a educaci\u00f3n teol\u00f3gica, dijo Latham. \u201cPero tenemos que aprender a cuidarnos a nosotros mismos como agentes y disc\u00edpulos para la gloria de Cristo. UU.) incluyen la promesa de servir con energ\u00eda, inteligencia, imaginaci\u00f3n y amor. \u201cA veces la gente piensa que la imaginaci\u00f3n es algo un tanto caprichoso\u201d, dijo McCaw. \u201cNo, es una capacidad muy seria. Al trabajar con iglesias peque\u00f1as, me preocupa que la imaginaci\u00f3n de las personas y las congregaciones est\u00e9 casi totalmente consumida por la nostalgia y el dolor. Recomend\u00f3 recursos como <a href=\"https:\/\/www.backstorypreaching.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" data-once=\"externalLinks\">Predicaci\u00f3n basada en la historia de fondo<\/a>, que \u201cest\u00e1 haciendo un gran trabajo con la preparaci\u00f3n del culto como disciplina espiritual\u201d. Lo somos, y si logramos equipar a nuestras congregaciones para que crean eso de s\u00ed mismas \u2014para que conf\u00eden en que Dios tiene un lugar y un prop\u00f3sito para ellas\u2014, estas peque\u00f1as iglesias est\u00e1n logrando cosas incre\u00edbles con recursos incre\u00edblemente limitados\u201d.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cEn estas iglesias est\u00e1n floreciendo comedores populares. Ven una necesidad y ven una oportunidad, y la est\u00e1n aprovechando. Me apasiona el ministerio de las iglesias peque\u00f1as\u201d, dijo Latham. \u201cCreo que es un momento esperanzador si, como dice Beth, dejamos de mirar hacia atr\u00e1s y aprovechamos la oportunidad que se nos presenta para vivirla de verdad\u201d.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cA medida que se han ido reduciendo, algunas iglesias, en su \u201dnecesidad de encontrar nuevas formas de ser ellas mismas\u201c, se han liberado de los viejos modelos de lo que debe constituir una iglesia de verdad\u201d, afirm\u00f3 McCaw, refiri\u00e9ndose a ideas como \u00abque hay que tener un coro en el presbiterio y que hay que organizar una Escuela B\u00edblica de Vacaciones de dos semanas. Se han liberado de eso\u00bb.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Cuando ejerc\u00eda su ministerio en el oeste de Montana, \u201cme fascinaba ver c\u00f3mo las distintas iglesias iban improvisando\u201d, coment\u00f3 McCaw. \u201c\u00bfQu\u00e9 es lo que funciona? \u00bfCu\u00e1l es nuestra misi\u00f3n? Las iglesias peque\u00f1as dependen en gran medida del contexto, y cada una es \u00fanica. Eso me inspira\u201d.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cTodas las iglesias pueden aprender de las iglesias m\u00e1s peque\u00f1as, que est\u00e1n haciendo gala de una gran inventiva\u201d, afirm\u00f3 McCaw. \u201cSe preguntan: \u2018\u00bfQu\u00e9 funciona hoy en d\u00eda para llevar este evangelio vivificante a nuestro vecindario, a nuestra comunidad?\u201d.
