Smiles are contagious.
They spread from ear to ear, eye to eye, face to face.
God’s joy is contagious, too.
It spreads from God’s heart through your heart.
Every time you
feed the hungry,
welcome the stranger,
visit the sick and imprisoned
God’s joy becomes your joy.
If you feel lost without answers or clear direction,
be assured that God does not tally your successes or failures.
God’s prodigal love will always welcome you home.
Your return fills God’s heart again with joy.
May the contagious joy of God spread through you this day and every day!

Rev. Ivan Herman ha servido como pastor asociado en la Iglesia Presbiteriana Carmichael desde 2009 y es activo en el Presbiterio del Norte de California Central. Creció en Ecuador y Colombia, y ha servido previamente como pastor o anciano gobernante en congregaciones presbiterianas en Memphis, TN, Washington, DC, y San Antonio, TX. Posee un pase anual para los Parques Nacionales de EE.UU., así como títulos de la American University, el Seminario Teológico Wesley y la Universidad Wake Forest. Ivan vive en Sacramento con su esposa, Susan. Tienen una nevera bien surtida para sus dos hijos adolescentes, pero el helado nunca llega al congelador.
