Can you believe that the earth, the creation is waiting for us? Waiting for us to be the children God, created to care? Created to nurture the retching oceans and tend the towering trees? Created to foster wellness for whales and cherish chimpanzees? The creation is waiting and longing for us to be…us! Waiting for us to reveal God in the love and respect that we show God’s planet.

Creating God, we long to reveal your goodness in our care for your creation. Heal all that we have harmed. Restore all that we have broken. Hold all who have lost homes and beloveds to hurricanes, tornadoes, fires, and floods. Soothe the seas. Calm the climate. Plant in us, your children, an urgency to center earth justice not just for this present moment and ourselves but also for the generations of children and creatures who have yet to be born. We pray in the mighty name of Jesus. Amen.
