Permanent Endowment Fund
Establish a Permanent Endowment Fund and help ensure the mission of Jesus Christ is carried out for generations.
The Presbyterian Foundation manages over 7,000 endowment funds for the benefit of churches, seminaries, mid-councils, children homes, retreat centers, camps and conference center and many other related organizations. Endowment funds are managed to income now and for generations to come using experienced investment managers and a spending formula policy based on "total return”.
Establishing an endowment fund allows you to make an expression of faith that will provide a perpetual stream of support for your congregation or chosen ministry today, tomorrow and well into the future. Elias Boudinot created the Foundation's first endowment in 1821 – and it still provides funds for ministry today!
Endowment funds managed by the Foundation provide you with:
Complete Fiduciary Oversight
Investment Objective – Generate funds for mission while attempting to maintain purchasing power over the long term

Permanent endowment funds do exactly what they were designed to accomplish: provide income for mission now and in the future.
What is an endowment fund?
A permanent endowment fund is created through an irrevocable gift to the Foundation. The Presbyterian Foundation professionally holds and manages the fund and pays income from the fund in perpetuity to a Presbyterian or Presbyterian-related entity you select. An endowment fund creates a lasting legacy of faith and generosity.
A fund is often established to celebrate an event, such as a birthday or anniversary, to honor a loved one, or to create a lasting legacy. The fund can commemorate your church, a related organization or a ministry of significance to you.
What does it take to establish a fund?
An endowment fund can be established with a gift to the Foundation of $25,000 or more for each Presbyterian or Presbyterian-related entity you select.
Can I make additional gifts to a fund?
Additions to the fund are accepted from you or anyone wishing to contribute to the growth of the fund. Simply complete the additional gift form and submit it with your gift to the Presbyterian Foundation.
